Artwork
Digital or by hand, artistry runs for generations in Avar family blood. I've been drawing from youth to this moment, whether it's team logos or birthday cards inspired by cartoons or album covers. And I’ll keep bleeding Avar artistry until my computer explodes, every pencil snaps, and my inspirational music burns out.
4 / 24 | Ink Drawing
I look at this work and think I was possessed. "How, lol?" Patience. Hours upon hours of dabs and flickers of an ink pen. All to ensure the piece had as much joyful exuberance as our dog, Bruno. Everyone receiving my craft deserves to feel and be honored, not just bear witness.
Colored Pencil | 4 / 24
I had to throw it back to Elementary school art. The explosion of colored pencil was used to capture the wild personality of our vizsla, Roxi. Art longs for specific mediums, forms, and styles to subconsciously enrich a story and touch our heart.
2 / 24 | Charcoal
Drawing faces used to be circle after circle, and I avoided drawing teeth like I avoided talking to my 6th grade crush. I still haven't mastered teeth or romance. But I've formed a patient relationship with charcoal pencils, exploring light and the shadows, smears and the clarity, every thing that makes art real and human -- Exactly what art should be.
